Founder & CEO
Jasen Wang (Wang Jianjun), born in 1985, is the founder and CEO of Makeblock (Makeblock Co., Ltd). Wang is a robotics enthusiast, a product manager, and a hardcore maker, and was once ranked as one of the 30 top entrepreneurs under the age of 30 by Forbes China.
After earning his master degree in Aeronautical Design at the Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2010 and spending a year in the workforce, Wang started Makeblock with the aim to help people turn their ideas into real physical objects.

In 2017, We generated an estimated revenue of $30 million USD. Its products are sold in 140+ countries. by 1,000+ channel partners. Makeblock’s number of users exceeds 4.5 million and continues to grow. Makeblock’s products are used in more than 20,000 schools around the world, as well as by families, for STEAM education.
In France, Makeblock products have been incorporated into school textbooks, and over 6,000 French primary and secondary schools are using Makeblock software and hardware for their STEAM courses.
We have subsidiaries in Europe, the United States, Japan and Hong Kong, and entered a strategic partnership with Japan’s C&S Softbank in 2017.
