Makeblock Supports European students on Antarctic Research

Antarctic Research

In February, 5 Makeblock mBot Ranger robots programmed by Portuguese and Bulgarian school students completed the data collection task at the Bulgarian Antarctic research station. With the guidance of Prof. Nuno Pereira of Portugal Polytechnic Institute of Beja and the support of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute and other institutions, the project was finished smoothly with the aim of improving people’s understanding of Antarctica, the awareness of the link between the South pole and the North pole and of promoting the importance of developing programming skills.

The event has also received attention from the British Council in Bulgaria and the project will participate with an oral presentation in the Polar 2018 conference in Davos, Switzerland, in June.
