mBot educational robots are designed for children as young as 6. For any child under the age of 6, adult help is recommended.
mBot offers both block-based and Arduino programming languages, so you have the flexibility to choose the coding language that works best for you.
If you want more options for building, choose the mBot+ Add-on Pack*3 bundle. But if you want better Bluetooth connection between your PC and the robot, go for the mBot + Bluetooth Dongle bundle. If you're looking for coding tutorials to make learning easier, check out the mBot+ Coding Box Bundle.
mBot offers the option to program using either block-based or Arduino, while mBot2 offers block-based or Python programming.
mBot is specifically designed for children aged 6 and above who are learning to code and features beginner-friendly gamified tasks. On the other hand, mBot Neo is ideal for children aged 6 and above who want to explore more advanced functions like voice control and data visualization after starting with block-based programming, due to its extended capabilities.

This is one of the children's favorite classes during which they learn how to build the robot from scratch by following the instructions in the manual.

The next generation of makers and inventors isn't going to be the same as the one I was from. And I'm totally down with that.

These past four days have been INCREDIBLE
We've gone from knowing next to nothing about robotics to object detection, color detection, and more.
We even have experts in bot rotation
There's still 1 day to go for the Eureka '22 boot camp and we're pumped fam

Building robots with my boys! Yesterday, after jujitsu and brunch, I built a Makeblock robot with each kid. Full disclaimer, these were Christmas gifts. Only took 8 months to get to! Haha!
Anyway, we had fun building them, and the process was fun. Yesterday we got to try out the default settings. You can drive them manually, and they can drive themselves with obsticle avoidance and they can follow lines.
The next step is to download the programming app, which will allow the kids to program by using drag and drop commands. #momofboys #stemwithkids #stemeducation #roboticsforkids #makeblock
Well Designed - Easy to Use
I am impressed with the frustration-free design of the mBot. The makers have really come up with a product that is easy to build and promotes creativity. The mBlock visual programming language is a wonderful introduction to software design and logical thinking for young and old alike.
A toy that keeps you learning
It does work & comes together easy. Thats half if the fun. There are no batteries at all. But you need them. So if youre nit well stocked you have to steal them from your remote and kitchen scale, or run out and get them. There could be more documentation or at least a web side included or a cd maybe? I would appreciate the schematics and source. Can all be found. But not necessarily by a 8 year old. You should be comfortable with git repositories etc. I am sure we will learn a lot.
